Default Outdoor Survival Training

We're starting up survival training workshops in the west of Scotland countryside with different instructors showing Native American tracking methods, SAS survival skills, etc.. If anyone is interested in getting involved and feels they can bring something to the party, or who would like to participate on a course then please feel free to get in touch here.

Is this just in Scotland? How long will it last? If I'm lucky I'll make my way up there beginning of May.

Native American cooking and food preperation and tracking is great, SAS survival skills are good too, as are often neglected skills from the days gone by.

Will be interested to know location, course aims, and any other information you feel you can share here on the boards. Depending on location and the like, this sounds a very good idea.

Hi very interested in the concept, who will be doing the training? How much will it cost? Is this already set up and what background do these guys have in survival?

Sounds like there are a few of you guys here that could actually teach this stuff yourself. I get the impression that many of you are trained in survival tactics.

Cheers

Carmen

Ps Any Americans here who did a Tom Brown tracking school? Dont know if he's still doing it.

Well at least we've some interest here, much appreciated. The location is South Ayrshire around the New Galloway forest and there's a beautiful property down there for use as a base. Cost would be around £150 for weekend, but if you look on the web you'll see there are many other courses which have been going for a while all over the UK. The main thing is that we all start preparing mentally and practically to look after ourselves and others for a time when electricity, petrol, communications, and industry have broken down. Its bad enough standing on the hard shoulder for an hour-and-a-half waiting for the AA to arrive in Glasgow in February never mind coping with the aftermath of a pole shift, CME or whatever other pleasant surprises we may have coming our way. Anyway, who said anything about Native American cooking? I thought you guys were doing the kitchen
