Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours
I really enjoyed this interview, lets welcome Alan to the Avalon Lounge conference room. * applause *
http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com...s/awallace.htm Happiness In 1971, Alan Wallace went to Dharamsala, India, where he studied Tibetan Buddhism, medicine and language for four years. At the end of 1979, he began a four-year series of contemplative retreats which began in India, under the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. In 1987, he received his BA from Amherst College and in 1995, his PhD from Stanford University. From 1997-2001, Dr. Wallace taught Tibetan Buddhist studies in the Department of Religious Studies at UC Santa Barbara, where he held classes on Tibetan Buddhist studies and the interface between science and religion. He is the president and founder of the Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness Studies, and teaches Buddhist philosophy and meditation workdwide. In this interview we asked Alan to talk about Happiness - well, we were at the International Conference on Happiness so it was an obvious question to ask! Thanks again Regina - CMN |
