Federal Reserve Sunshine Day, August 8th, 2009, Sacramento, CA

Posted by Tom Davenport on 08/04/09

The Sacramento Campaign For Liberty is holding an event on August 8th, 2009 at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento: Federal Reserve Sunshine Day.

In an effort to maximize our exposure, this event was planned to coincide with the monthly Sacramento Second Saturday Art Walk. The general purpose of the event is to spread awareness of the lack of transparency of the Federal Reserve. The specific purpose of this event is to promote H.R. 1207: Federal Reserve Transparency Act and S. 604: Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, by collecting petition signatures urging Rep. Doris Matsui (CA District 5) to co-sponsor H.R. 1207 and urging Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein of California to co-sponsor S. 604. Currently Rep. Tom McClintock (CA District 4) and Rep. Dan Lungren (CA District 3) have both co-sponsored H.R. 1207, and as a sign of our appreciation we have been in contact with the respective offices of both Representatives with an invite to appear at our event so that we may publicly thank them for their support of this important legislation.
