Electric Cars / Wind turbine
Hi guys
I just wanted to post this link to a site. On this site there is a zero friction wind turbine which look and sounds realy impressive. Also I wanted to talk about electric cars. This guy has a 1909 Baker electric car which will travel 100 miles on a full charge, ok so it only goes 23mph but still this was over 100 years ago. The Tesla roadstar and there new family cars both look very impresive. Its a shame its taken us all this time to be able or be allowed to design and build these cars. Also BMW have designed a mini that only travels 120 miles on a full charge. There seems to be some resistance here. Surely after 100 years we could get the range a lot higher. Wouldnt it be great to buy a kit for your car or take it to a garage and replace the old smog producer out and whip in a new electric power unit. Then all we would have to do is stick a zero friction turbine on our homes to recharge it. Simplicity at its best. Gareth |

Re: Electric Cars / Wind turbine
How about a wind turbine http://www.conservinggreen.com/enflo...ndturbine.aspx and solar panel http://www.nextag.com/cost-of-solar-panel/stores-html on the roof of every building...and electric cars in every garage? If that wasn't enough, how about an exercycle connected to a generator? http://www.tradeeasy.com/supplier/34...r-station.html What's so hard about that? Why am I not doing this? That's a very good question. I can't afford to make the transition right now...but I will research and plan...and implement some of the above as soon as possible. Solar/Exercycle/Generator would probably work the best where I live.

I don't have to drive far or often...so I could use a low-tech small car electric power conversion. This might be another $5,000-$7,000. These are just estimates. Then I would have to pay $0(or very little) to power my home and car...with NO pollution. Last edited by orthodoxymoron; 04-15-2009 at 07:20 PM. |

Re: Electric Cars / Wind turbine
I'm not sure a wind turbine is necessary as there are permanent magnet motors already possible. Google 'Wang Generator' and 'free energy info'
This is a 5kW device... http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directo...m_Ho_Generator |

Re: Electric Cars / Wind turbine
Does anybody on here have an electric car they've converted or had converted?
I'm looking in to doing it over the next few years. i've got a car to use but need to learn more about the options for the components... If i could fasion a free enery motor in to the system that would be great but unless one finally comes on the market or one of you guys is in the uk and has the abilty to make one it looks like a standard motor will have to be used. |
