Hello folks,

Just a few words to those people it may concern. I sincerely hope you are all well. I find myself sat facing this screen with a thousand questions on my mind but not one of them receives the answer they deserve. I seem to have been drawn in to many physical and spiritual battles in the last two weeks so although I’m a little battle weary I’m still ready to get off the boxing ring stool when the bell goes. Sometimes when I see gross hypocrisy and injustice, if only from my own selfish point of view, the factory worker in me comes out. The factory bloke part of my personality is not one I like to display a lot but I wouldn’t like to try and live without it.

Anyway… I was driving down the road the other day wearing my newly obtained spectacles (£75 quid for two pairs at Specsavers). My physical eyesight has got worse over the last two years. I had managed to get to 50 years old without needing specs and my wallet and vanity had prevented me from going to an optician for many years but I really was struggling to see certain signs on the road so I abandoned my vanity and got the cash and went and got some bloody specs. And I was pretty happy with myself when I realised my eyesight had been worse than I had thought as I could now ‘actually see things’ when I first wore my new glasses. WOW! There were street signs I could actually read and people’s faces I could actually recognise.

It was like I was on another planet. The words ‘eyesight for the blind’ sums up the event better than I could. The only downside is that I can now clearly see how old and ugly I look from 30 yards away. I used to stand no closer than 6 feet from a mirror that way it was all a blur! Those days are gone. Anyway, I’ll get my sermon done….

The Sign on the Doors of a Dirty White Van

I was driving down the road and I had to pull up at traffic lights I was a few yards behind a large dirty white van, it had French number plates on it. Someone had written something in the dirt on the van doors. You know what I mean? Lots of jokers write stuff on dirty cars and vans, like ‘wash me ‘ or ‘also in white’ etc. You will know what I mean won’t you? Anyway I inched forward because I knew I could now read it with my new glasses on.

Well this large van had ‘Ssshh Asylum seekers sleeping inside please do not disturb’ written in the dirt. Well I started giggling about it and I realised that I wouldn’t have even seen the sign without wearing my new glasses. Driving on down the road I couldn’t stop thinking about the words on the vehicle doors and I started to imagine that if there really was asylum seekers sleeping inside the van then wouldn’t it be right to knock on the van and tell them that they had managed to get to England and it was time to get out of the van? After all they needed someone to tell them that they had arrived, and because I had seen the sign that told me they were asleep in the van, because of my new glasses, maybe it was my job to wake them up.

I pondered on that thought for a moment and decided that if I did bang on the doors to wake them up then surely those asleep would be grateful to me for waking them and thank me for it. Maybe I would be a hero for waking these people up and maybe they would cheer me?

Then I thought hang on a minute, maybe if I did bang on the doors and try to wake them they might think I was really the authorities and attack me for doing something they didn’t want me to do, after all they were nice and safe in the closed van. Maybe my actions would only leave them cowering in fear inside the world they had made for themselves (behind the van doors). I started to worry and it was all because I could now see signs that I couldn’t see before.

What was I to do? After all I wouldn’t have even known there were folk there were folk fast asleep in their own little world behind those van doors if I hadn’t lost my vanity and found the means to wear my glasses. I worried and I fretted and because I was hesitant the van had simply got away from me. It was soon out of my reach. I couldn’t bang on the van doors anymore even if I wanted too. The asylum seekers were left asleep.

I pondered on my failure and I was kicking myself for letting the van get out of my reach but then I had another vision in which the white van had changed into planet Earth and the sleeping asylum seekers had changed into the entire human race. Instead of me being a few yards behind a van I was now up in the heavens looking down. It was a same scenario - different vehicles sort of thing if you like.

Anyway… because of my eyesight I could see that Mount Everest had a massive sign on it. It said “Ssshhh yes bloody well Sssshh truth seekers sleeping below please do not disturb’”

Anyway folks…I have written a new article. “Treading on the Grapes of Bacchus” it is about Carnivals and Mardi Gras. Those folks in the UK will probably not relate to it but the information is there for you anyway and it’s an important symbolic milestone for me. Please scroll down and click on link to read it now. Hello folks, If you watch the news in the next few days you will see that in many places in the world there will be many pre Lenten festivals or carnivals going on. South America especially will take part in massive drinking and sex sessions. Hey there’s nothing wrong with folk enjoying themselves I’m no prude! The point I want to make is that we again will find many countries being ‘told when to celebrate”. It seems that the Serpent Cult want to have the biggest parties in the South Americas or in the southern states of America such as New Orleans. In Brazil the event is known as the ‘carnival’ and in other areas it is known as the ‘Mardi Gras’.

Rio used massive Ferris wheel for 2016 Olympic bid

A CROWD estimated at two million people gathered on Copacabana Beach to celebrate the arrival of 2009, inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s bid to host the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. During the climax of the colourful night, the countdown of the last ten seconds of 2008 was projected onto the 36-meter Ferris wheel at Copacabana Fort, which this year is themed on the Rio 2016 campaign. Y-shaped sculpture for roadside

Councillors have given the go-ahead for a £50,000 Y-shaped sculpture to be built at the side of the road leading to the Rhondda valleys in south Wales. Rhondda Cynon Taf council have voted in favour of the 25ft (7.6m) steel work of art alongside the A4058 near Trehafod. Bangor-born artist Ann Catrin Evans will include words of the hymn Cwm Rhondda in the sculpture. (Matthew Delooze says...Why?)
