AS much as I like to believe these machines exist, why is it that the people that invent these things always come across as uneducated people who nobody would believe?? Why can't some intelligent well spoken person be given this information??

Because they lump it in the same field as UFO's and no self respecting scientist wants to risk their pretentious career over it.
