Alternative energies
http://india_resource.tripod.com/alternateenergy.html http://www.reuk.co.uk/Storing-Wind-P...ressed-Air.htm There are many energies we can harness with minimal initial outlay, and be a step closer to being self sufficient. No matter the climate or continent there is a method. When the time comes and world monatary system and fossil fuels are no more,to be self sufficient before day zero, is surely a must for ground crews and individual's alike. Another great poet here at Avalon,
this was by Antaletriangle Children Pump Clean Water While Playing on the Merry-Go-Round In a way it's free energy-it's not on the lines of anti-gravific waves and HO cells but it's quite innovative in it's own way. http://www.naturalnews.com/024732.html NaturalNews) PlayPumps International, a US non-profit organization, has come up with a very innovative way to help Africans obtain clean water for their families. The PlayPump is a sustainable, patented water pump that gets its power from children. The PlayPump is a merry-go-round that doubles as a water pump. The spinning of the merry-go-round pumps clean water from underground into a 2,500 liter tank, standing seven meters above the ground. A simple tap makes it easy to draw water. All excess water is diverted from the storage tank back down into the borehole. The pump is able to produce up to 1,400 liters of water per hour at 16 rpm from a depth of 40 up to 100 meters. Women and girls in Africa are primarily responsible for collecting enough water each day for cooking, drinking and cleaning. This often means hauling heavy water containers for many miles taking, on average, three hours a day. The weight of the water containers is equivalent to about 44 pounds (20 kg). Many young girls and women must walk as much as six miles every day to retrieve water for their families. Some have to make the trip twice. In much of the world, we take water for granted. We turn on a faucet and out it comes. We flush a toilet and think nothing of the amount of water it takes for that flush. When you flush that toilet, you’re using the same amount of water that one person in a less developed country uses all day to wash, clean, cook and drink. The World Water Crisis Our bodies are made up of over 60% water and our brain is about 70% water. We become thirsty if we lose just 1% of that water and if we lose 10% we can die. Dehydration is responsible for about 80% of deaths from cardiac arrest. Today, there is a huge water crisis on our planet. Consider these facts: • Only 1/10th of 1% of the water on earth is drinkable. • 1.1 billion people worldwide do not have access to clean water. That`s 18% of the world`s population. • Unsafe water and lack of sanitation is now the single largest cause of illness worldwide. • 5,000 children under age 5 die every day as a result of unclean water and poor sanitation. That`s one child every 15 seconds. • Half the people in developing countries are suffering from water-related illnesses. To learn more about PlayPumps International, you can visit www.knowh2o.org and www.playpumps.org. They have many videos, a blog and links to other information that can further explain the process and the benefits of the PlayPump(c). You can even sign up to sponsor a PlayPump. And, be sure to take the water test at knowh20.org (click on the Play link). You’ll be surprised at the answers. cont.on link above. __________________ "Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them". ALBERT EINSTEIN. I tried the 6% peroxide on my seedlings the other day, mixed it 50/50 with rain water.
Spilt some on my hand later and it burnt so was expecting all my seedlings to be dead the next morning but they are fine, good job as I just sprayed them all, didn't think about testing it on a couple first ![]() Also planted some peas today after keeping them in my mouth for 9 mins, thought about doing it with some lettuce seeds but they are too small ![]() |

Hello all i'm new here. And i love the synchronistic way this thread has fallen in my lap after a days gardening, and a day after i finally paid my subscription to post, ( i must say due to the jack thread. ) Ouch !
Anyway i started growing veg about three years ago with seeds from garden centers and supermarkets . But have had limited success probably due to lack of experience i thought . After trying to save some seeds by letting some onions go to flower but they never produced seeds and i let half a dozen of them flower all right next to each other, but no seed. So after doing some reading i found out that all brand name seeds are f1 hybrid or genetically modified in some way, and heirloom or heritage seeds were what i needed. So the search was on and i found a company calling themselves heirloom vegetable seeds uk who were selling survival packs of seeds for 25 pounds. Anyway the order ended up being through a US company and nothing to do with the UK , i never received my seeds or a reply from my numorus e mails , and that was about 5 months ago . I have since received my money back from the billing agent , and found another company in the uk who are really good http://www.realseeds.co.uk/about.html . No survival packs here for 25 pound but you really do know what your getting. I've got stuff sprouting up strong now looking better than ever before. And best of all now i can save my own seeds here's a list of good seed companies mainly in the us http://www.nativeseeds.org/ http://www.heirloomacresseeds.com/ http://rareseeds.com/ http://www.groworganic.com/default.html ... es=4204552 http://www.seedsofchange.com/ http://fedcoseeds.com/ Here's a list of seed companies that are supplied by seminis, which is owned by monsanto. mainly us again. * Territorial Seeds * Totally Tomato * Vermont Bean Seed Co. * Burpee * Cook's Garden * Johnny's Seeds * Earl May Seed * Gardens Alive * Lindenberg Seeds * Mountain Valley Seed * Park Seed * T&T Seeds * Tomato Growers Supply * Willhite Seed Co. * Nichol's * Rupp * Osborne * Snow * Stokes * Jungs * R.H. Re: Avebury May9th Nexus Global Meditation
Hi all, Thought this may be of interest to some who travel to Avebury,as of today now,the uk has 8 confirmed cases of swine flu, with 1 possible contraction(first to have who has not been to mexico) So maybe Vitamin D will offer protection.. Thanks to Ancor who posted the info below... http://www.projectavalon.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=13572 Vitamin D's role (for epidemic influenza) I am not posting this because of Swine Flu, however, the stories around have certainly got people thinking about flu epidemics, even if this one turns out not to be real, there is always a chance that something natural may come up. Henry Deacon mentioned something about Vitamin D being useful for us - I cant remember the exact quote, but David Wilcock's recent blog also reminded me about it. Today I saw this referred to on the SurvivalBlog.com (itself a depressing but highly informative blog) In depth article on Vitamin D's role in nailing flu like infections http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/51913.php A.. __________________ Radiate Love! The Five Elements Theory of Chinese Cooking
Learn about the Role of the Five Elements in Chinese Cooking More of This Feature • Five-Spice Powder - The First "Feel Good" Drug? Related Resources • Yin and Yang in Chinese Cooking • Health Benefits of Green Tea Written by Rhonda Parkinson Like the concept of yin and yang, the Five Elements Theory is at the cornerstone of Chinese culture. What is the Five Elements Theory? The Chinese believe that we are surrounded by five energy fields: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. However, the elements are not static: they are constantly moving and changing. (In fact, some scientists think the term "element" is misleading, and prefer to refer to the "five phases" or "five forces.") Once the Chinese identified the five elements, they set about categorizing all phenomena within the five categories. Everything, from a river to sounds to the organs in our bodies, can be described in terms of the five elements. How things are characterized depends on their individual qualities. For example, earth is associated with growth and nourishment, so the spleen, which monitors the blood - digesting debris and producing antibodies when necessary - is categorized as an earth element. Just as an imbalance between yin and yang can produce destructive forces, keeping all elements in balance promotes harmony both in our surroundings and ourselves. Of course, balancing five elements is a little more complicated than achieving harmony between two opposing forces. According to Chinese belief, each element acts upon two others, either giving birth to it or controlling it. For example, wood gives birth to fire and controls or suppresses earth. Similarly, fire gives birth to earth and controls metal. All the elements are constantly interacting with other elements - none stand alone. The table below outlines the relationships. Gives Birth To Controlling Wood - Fire Wood - Earth Fire - Earth Earth - Water Earth - Metal Water - Fire Metal - Water Fire - Metal Water - Wood Metal - Wood To give an example from nature, a plant (wood) grows when it is given water. When burnt, wood gives birth to fire, and the burnt ashes subsequently return to the earth. What role does the Five Elements Theory Play in the Chinese diet? You'll see adherence to the five elements theory in many facets of Chinese life. Martial arts, for example: many schools have a series of basic movements, each designed to keep the body in harmony with one the elements. And the five elements theory plays a large role in Feng Shui, the latest trend in both landscaping and interior decorating. Literally meaning "wind and water," Feng Shui is all about aligning energies in your home or work environment in a way that is most conducive with your own personal energy. As for diet, Chinese herbalists believe that, to properly treat a patient, you must know the state of the five elements in their body. A deficiency or an excess of an element can lead to illness. In The Chinese Kitchen: Recipes, Techniques, Ingredients, History, and Memories from America's Leading Authority on Chinese Cooking, Eileen Yin Fei-Lo provides some wonderful examples of how her grandmother used the principles of the five elements theory to cure common illnesses. Treating a cough with winter melon tea and fresh water chestnuts is just one example. A detailed look at the use of five elements theory in diagnosing and treating illnesses is beyond the scope of this article. Suffice to say that practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine rely on it to explain the relationships between the body organs and tissues, as well as between the body and the outside environment. The table below outlines the relationship between the five elements and body parts, feelings, colors, and taste. Element Yin Yang Feelings Colors Tastes Wood Liver GallBladder Rage Green Sour Fire Heart Small Intestine Happiness Red Bitter Earth Spleen Stomach Thought Yellow Sweet Metal Lungs Large Intestine Sorrow White Spicy Water Kidneys Bladder Fear Black Salty How would a physician use the above information to make a diagnosis? Let's say a patient suddenly developed a preference for sour food. This could indicate liver problems. Of course, the actual process of examining a patient and making a diagnosis is much more complex than merely consulting a chart. It requires a thorough understanding of the interaction between all the elements. Because time and date of birth are also thought to play a role in an individual's "state of the five elements," many physicians will consult astrological charts before making a diagnosis. "He that takes medicine and neglects diet, wastes the skills of the physician." (Chinese proverb) Love light & oneness Truthseeker360 |

Hi found this thread by Luminari, thought might all like to see..
The Secret of Gardening ;-) For those of you who haven't read the Ringing Cedars of Russia books yet, I'd like to share some lost wisdom on the healing relationships between plants and humankind on Terra/Earth. If you are going to plant any fruit or vegetable plants in your garden from seeds: Hold the seed in your mouth for at least 9 minutes. This will enable saliva to encode/embed the seed with your DNA. The plant will always share your DNA like an extension of yourself. When planting the seed in the earth, use your bare feet to move the soil and plant the seed. Have you heard that your body sweats much of its unwanted toxins out of your feet? This gives the plant information about what is wrong with you personally, what health problems you may have. So the tree grows fruit etc that is of specific benefit to your health needs. That is the forgotten relationship between plant and gardener that has been given back to us by Anastasia. http://www.scribd.com/doc/7743129/AN...Vladimir-Megre Eternal Bliss, L |
