In Genesis the Isralites aka humanity , are instructed to take a lamb and eat it at a certain time, for the equinox passover. During this time, we are to strike the two sides of the post, and upper post, with the blood, of the sacrifice.
The two sides of the post or gateway , are the two paths of regeneration, with their connection to the top of the door , our Heads.

When the blood of the Lamb ascends the door (Post,) we have spiritual wisdom, and will not be harmed by the destructive forces of regeneration. Eating of the Ram or lamb , means to take( Part) in reason. Eating of the whole animal, means to not be partly wise, but to understand the entire meaning of things, aka light and shadow.

(A little learning is a dangerous thing). I feel that this is the ritual, of the Thuban Passover (Post).
