Without Community in a very remote location, there is not much chance of surviving what is coming. Besides the 2012 probabilities of earth changes, the global economic/food/water situation is dire indeed.
My husband and I have failed to form a community, we are alone w/what we have built... garden/greenhouse/egg production, etc... we are not fooling ourselves to think we could survive long while helping others too, we would soon perish.

We are considering liquidating everything and relocating to a very remote "safe" place (according to all future probable maps we are already in a safe location geographically), however, just the two of us cannot do all the work that is necessary to survive, it's just not realistically possible. As Ivan Stein questioned himself "how can I best serve mankind?" and the answer was not to remain in such a vulnerable place even though he had the "stuff" to survive, with the desire to want to help others, he would soon perish also.. you can only help so many and not be able to fend off the others that are desparate.

... the only answer is to form a Community in a very remote location. I agree with this view.

It's clear to me, whether one is aware or not, there is not much chance of surviving the greatest depression & food shortage ever (not to mention probable earth changes) ... and let's face it... there are not many that are seriously moving into community, willing to uproot entirely & join w/"strangers" into community of sustainable living...

We are very soberly facing what clearly looks like extreme hardship.

You are so welcome Seashore. Lately, reality is seriously and unavoidablly sinking into the psyche which means it has to faced, there is no turning away. A balanced perspective for me is in the day to day living in the physical world as well as spiritually preparing for eventual death of the physical.

it's important to be in touch with the Big Picture. The world is in serious crisis, no doubt at all about that.

Right now, my attention is held by Ashayana Deane's teachings, especially as well as Ivan Stein, who are, in my view, very realistic in depth and scope, and actively offering plans for preparation. All very sobering and require my attentive participation... if one is wishing to engage ones self into action.

Much Love to All

My approach is to keep searching for ways to prepare for what's coming and to try my best to bring the topic into the mainstream. If we could succeed in bringing it out in the open in the mainstream then we could better join together as the community of humanity to prepare the best that we can.

Thank you for posting the text versions of the presentation. Very informative indeed. I'm particulary not too happy with his possible flooding Map (curious on how it was derived). It counters all of the ones I've seen, including the flooding of the Appalachian Mountains (some ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 feet above sea level). Unless, this a projection of eventual overall flooding after the cataclysm itself.

I'm not too certain about Denver outside of flooding, based on earthquakes causing landslides from the mountains, and if Yellowstone is triggered, Denver definitely would not be idea. Denver may be idea undergournd first, and then above ground.

Kinda goes back to "nowhere will be completely safe". It's not just the flooding, though that is the first obstacle to try and overcome.

Wow Moxie ! Are you sounding the alarm ?

Given that you and your husband are on the same page and have no other dependant family members, it would be quite easy for you to go and join another likeminded community project.

Or... you could invite in others like yourself with a variety of skills and hunker down on your own property.
I'm still undecided whether I should take action or not.
Eventhough I live on a small island in the eastern Meditteranean, there is a 5,000 ft. mountain range within 40 minutes driving distance.

The clock is ticking and we should all begin deciding soon. We own a small plot of land up there, but short of winning the lottery, I don't think that I will have the funds in time to do something with it.
