We cannot force Reiki onto anyone who has not been 'asked permission', whether consciously or unconsciously - however, all our healing energies will go to the person in 'need' if required, and if they choose to leave to develop elsewhere, the energies are not wasted, but wrap around those who need in other places. That's how I see the benevolence of Reiki - the vibration of love.
