Right on. At the end of the day it boils down to food (and water). If you don't have any that's ALL you're going to be thinking about.

All you have to ask yourself is: "if my money was worthless tomorrow, what would I do?"
If the answer is starve, beg, borrow or steal, then you need to prepare.

Its called disaster preparedness. We should all be doing it anyway, even the most disbelieving of us as a matter of common sense.
