Hello All,
I wanted to take a moment to thank the moderators for what they do, when they find the time to do it, and why they do it. It is a job like many across the planet which all of us have experienced at one point or another where our hard work and commitment goes unnoticed or under-appreciated. There's been an occassion or two where I have personally disagreed with the moderators intervention and the premise for why it was done. However, we all have to keep this forum, the moderators, and our own actions in perspective. Most forums don't have moderation, yet alone a moderator, and most of the Avalon/Camelot moderators (depending upon their personal experience and/or knowledge base) will research the information posted on this forum to help ensure that more facts and less fiction is allowed to emanate from the Avalon and Camelot threads. Now, when you add to that plate, the number of newly volunteered Moderators and the influx of members, due to the long awaited removal of subscription. It will indeed be a bit bumpy for all of us. Everyone does not have the idea interpersonal skills to put on display via their posts, rather it's a moderator or member. We all have to be able to absorb the best and the worst of each other to achieve a common result of cooperation and union. Each of us should evaluate our posts before submitting by re-reading them to see if it requires us to filter out frustrations or emotions in overdrive. At the same time, we should be able to control our reactions to such postings once they surface. With out a doubt, there will be a healthy bumping of heads here, but we have moderators to help prevent these from becoming headaches. So, with that stated...A Note of Appreciation to the Moderators!!! Now, let us all continue on our journey during these interesting and challenging times on our planet. It would be best and most beneficial for all of us to do so. gscraig |
