Military LEO working with civilian LE on a public highway? If this is bona fida, then there is a massive concern here about 'mission creep'. |

Definitely Sol, sounds like practice to me! I'll ask my brother who lives out near LA, California to keep an eye out to see if it happens!

Yeah cheers Dan. Seems very close to breaking alot of laws and statutes of not using the military as LEO.
If it was a military road, well ok; if it was a national emergency, again, OK; but it isn't. Didn't see CHP and MEU MPs doing road blocks at any other times did we? |

You know another point to make here is that the state of California is broke and very far in debt actually. Governor Schwarzenegger was just asking for a few billion I think just the other day!

Arnie oversaw a 40%... yes FOURTY PERCENT rise in state 'costs'.
He lied, just like they all do. He needs a swift kick in the farmers for being such a douche. |

Any suggestions as to what to do when this goes down in your country? I just don't know anymore how 'voicing your concern' can make any difference when you voice it to the people who are either giving or executing the order.

Just had to throw a little understanding out there from experience. The fires have been reeking havoc; I know, I lost my own house to a ridge fire there not too long ago. They've been asking for the extra help for a long time, years in fact, and didn't have all the men they needed to fight the fires due to our "Peace" of $@it mission in the middle east. The National Guard has been away fighting wars to support lucrative defense contracts. The fires now burn all year long, not just during the dry season.
The same thing happened in New Orleans, I was there. Our city was under occupation in order for the military to "secure their Naval Base". I lost my first home there with Katrina, it wasn't a good year. ![]() However, help or no help needed... This is just the type of situation that the FEDs take advantage of. They are using the same tactics in our home land that they employ overseas. Next there will be permanent military run road blocks to insure our own security. I'm glad I now live in Canada, but it is just a matter of time. These guys will try anything and stop at nothing. I'm usually not a downer on my posts, this just cut close to home. I think I'll go now and have a great day. To the FEDs I say ![]() Peace of Mind, Wormhole |

Yeah Wormhole the fires are so bad there. I was in south Florida for Hurricane Andrew and that was before the Iraq BS, there was national guard on every corner, then years later I was in West Palm Beach for Hurricane Wilma, I think it was, and no national guard to be found, of course due to the Iraq BS.

The Iraq war; man I could type all night but I doubt people will ever believe half of it.
The other half would make them weep. I spent 100 hours just tagging links and working through defence contract bills... its like a money drain in order to cause the bankruptcy of the United States. |
