Shadow people....
Frankly it's been a while since I saw them on a regular basis. By regular I mean, seeing them three and four times a week. Back in the mid-80's I was part of a group of friends who not only worked together, but played together, in fact, our business/employment/friend circle was all wrapped up into one. We owned and operated what I'd call a "communal machine shop". So we worked around each other 10-14 hrs per day, and when we played, it was still "us", with the occasional outside friend. We became quite used to seeing them at our parties. For a couple of years, no one said a word about them, each thinking they were the crazy ones. Finally the dam burst, and it got to the point where it was not uncommon for 2-3 people top stop dead in their tracks, look around and there would follow: "I didn't see that." "Nope! Neither did I." "Is he still in the bedroom?" "Do we want to look?" "Would we not see him again, or?" "Never mind. Whose turn is it?" and we'd go back to throwing darts, or whatever. During the late 90's and on into the 2000's I was a work-at-home programmer. This involved long hours of sitting at this beast, typing away, lost in concentration. I would see the critters dart by the door to my office quite frequently. I do notice that they seem to prefer the quiet hours of the night. 2:30 till dawn, fr'instance. (if only they would fix typos!!! Sigh...) Then I basically didn't see them for a long while. Then... Side note:Several months ago, as I sat in the den, watching a movie I saw a guy dash by the door that leads from the kitchen to the dining room. The grey guy went from left to right, heading towards the living room. Two things make this event stand out: 1. Appearance; All of the shadow folk I had seen to date were of the "typical variety" I've seen described elsewhere.
This guy was the same color as the previous shadow folk I'd seen, but thats where it ended. This one was a good 6 ft. tall. He was about the same build as what I would consider a normal man. But his head seemed a bit more "squared off". Up until now, all of the ones I had seen were round headed, and bald as a cue ball. This one had no hair, per se, either. Instead what I saw atop him was what I can only describe as about six "twisted" tree branches. Completely devoid of foliage, as in winter. Just the branches, and they looked to be 8-12 inches long. Each one looked to be about 1/2 inch thick, and did not "trail behind" his head, but appeared to stick straight up, and stiff. Almost like a head-dress of some kind, but coming out of his head, not head gear. 2. Panda; We share our home with 4 dogs. Actually, they let us live here, so long as we keep up the house payments, and don't track in too much mud. My "buddy" amung'em is a big ol' slurpy guy named Panda. Panda was snoozing on the floor against the couch, acting in his other capacity as foot warmer. When the grey guy dashed passed the door (about 15 ft away) his head went up instantly. His next move was to jump up, and run to the other door. that leads from the living room, back into the den. So Panda did not give chase, he went for the other door, consistent with the direction I had seen it go, in order to "head off" whatever it was. He stood there a few seconds, staring intently, and then took on a more confused look, which I assume had to do with whatever it was not coming on through. __________________ Ok, by now I'm thinkin' yer sure I'm crazy as hell, but ... In my own defense I can only say, "Damnit!! Panda saw him too!!" As to their origin, destination, and purpose? Geez, wouldn't I like to know! These guys have been around me since the 80's at least! You'd think one would stop and say "Howdy!" and s'plain himself. Fred

You describe the one I seen perfectly. He was bent over on the right side of my bed and I have no idea why, I woke up, turned, seen him and said in my mind..........Oh, God not tonight, and he literally leaped in the air and went through my ceiling. I am to this day, shocked that I did this without totally freaking out or busting into tears.
Three weeks prior to this, I had woke up paralized, unable to scream or open my eyes terrified. When I started praying I was able to move and I ran from the room and refused to sleep again without lights on. My life has not been the same since all of this happened. There is a site online that has many stories, in fact mine is listed as well. I told an acquaintance about what I had seen and that is when I was given the name "shadow people" Never heard of them before and I see they appear as cats and dogs also. hmmmm |

"Oh, God not tonight"
Interesting choice of words... sort of begs a question: The kind of "not tonight" usually followed by "I have a headache" ? Meaning you'd seen him before, and tonight just wasn't a good night for it? Or the kind like, "The last thing I needed tonight was some 'new and exciting' experience? Fred

Here is a pic very similar to what I meant about "head gear"
![]() "I was unable to sleep 3 days prior due to things I was reading up on and so I was exhausted" Ok, thanx. I guess I could have just asked if you'd seen him before, but I'm a bit mouthy, and like to have some fun with forums. BTW, that is King Balor, from the movie Hellboy II. It's currently playing on cable TV, and I tend to inch up the volume a bit during the drunk scene when they're singing to Barry Manilow... hey, it aggravates the wife. what can I say? Nobody murders a Barry Manilow song quite like Ron Perlman ![]()
