I'm still wondering if he will make good on that Gitmo promise. Right now, the odds seem like 50-50 but they could quickly go the other way based on who Obama chose for his Cabinet.

Just seen on the news that he will announce today that Guantanamo will be closed as soon as is practical, with the deadline being 1 year from now.

Hi Humble and Steve_G, yup, it's interesting to watch these chronicles day-to-day. Taxes for this... 49 lines total. I'm deciding what's worth it (as a Canadian with ties to many of these policies)... And this is just the up & up - black ops/budgets, with their heavy social etc costs, are not included.
