Thanks for all the good posts and information. The only thing I can add to keeping the immune system in good shape beyond Jrod7's advice is to be aware of your energy level. Don't let your energy get low, because that is when you are susceptible to getting sick (low immune system) as it is a sure indicator that you are over working/stressing your body. At that point take some time out to decompress, restore your energy (deep breathing/chi exercise, body massage).
