If you say you have been in the military, and cannot provide any proof, then you have never been in the military - its as simple as that.
You never forget your military ID no. be it a Navy / RM or Army or what ever service. It can be erased but if they erase it a funny thing happens at military records - there is a gap because they cannot create another in its place. Its an anchorism of the system. Instead they'll delete your file and say some thing like 'Failed to complete basic training'.
