Wilhem Roentgen, a german physicist, produced and detected the first x-ray in 1895 and earned the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. MRI and Ultrasound are not X-Ray machines and don't cause cancer. Mammography is very,very low dose x-ray that is much better to have done than not at all. In fact all newer x-ray machines I would say are very safe and not cancer causing at all! I worked on all types for 6 years as a service technician, from Mammography to Oncology to Cardiac to Urology.
