Yes, I think people are losing interest. I figure that it's a bit like when you discover a "new" taste sensation.
The first experience has you craving for more.
Then after a few days, when the novelty has worn off, you lose the desire to consume it every day and finish up after a while forgetting about it completely.
Humans are funny people - aren't we?
