This is the only reason I watch movies at all now, there is allot of background information in the films, either in the background or right in your face if you know what patterns to look for you can even predict future scenes.
As far as TV goes I got rid of all television programming 15 years ago.
Both of my sons 14 and 12 have never seen TV in there home from birth till today.
Movies are freely available on the internet so I may see a movie every 5 years or so, Avatar is one I will be going to the theater to watch.
i'm not entirely sure why.
