Escondido CA, about 30 mi north of San Diego...night before last was out for a stroll with a couple friends...looked up at the moon as I have most nights lately, watching it wax toward full with Jupiter hanging just nearby...saw a bright star just above Jupiter and was wondering what it was when it just faded out and disappeared. No idea what it was, I didn't see it for more than three or four seconds.
