I read part of this thread earlier, and have just come back to the end.

My suggestion, directly to you both Bill and Kerry, is why don't you have the moderators (and yourself) do a fund raising drive like Public Broadcasting stations do it?

That way it is voluntary... and with enough convincing... you should be able to justify your case for seeking more contributions.

Please consider this...
