true story ...

we once had a pet tarantula in the house ...
went on vacation and my friend took "good" care of him in the interim ...
it would seem when she changed his water and took his dish out ... she didn't think to temporarily place the lid back on ...
she came back and did not see anything was amiss ...

vacation was over and we came back to no tarantula ...
i called my friend ... asked her where he was ... was she out having dinner with him?
she said something like ...
i said something like ... yeeesh ...

so no one had a clue where he had gone ... didn't think he'd survive long ... needed a source of water to survive ...
too bad i thought ... gonna miss the guy ...

but noooo ...

six weeks later i got up one morning and went to the bathroom ... seen what looked like a brown sock on the floor ... and i thought ... i don't HAVE brown socks ... what the ...
went to pick it up and it scurried off away from me ...

OUR BABY WAS BACK!!!

but i have to say ... he was NEVER the same again ...
lived another year but deteriorated during that time ... spidey psychologist said it was probably way too much freedom at once ... his system just couldn't take it ...

that and no H2O i guess ... poor guy ...

went to spidey heaven one day ...

and always will i remember him ... on the bathroom floor that morning ...
he was a good spider ...

oh ... and one day we lost the snake ...

but that's another true story ...

now how many of you are going to check your bathroom floors in the morning ...
