Tom, Having done much near death research I know that you, my friend, are about to experience the most beautiful thing you could never have imagined. If, as you say, there is no chance for you to survive this disease, know that you are about to embark on the most wonderful, unimaginable and loving experience you have ever know. Many who have had NDE's can't even put into words how beautiful it really is. If you have fear of dying, which is common and natural considering what we are taught about death, there are a couple of books you can read and many youtube videos for you to watch about NDE's.
