To my friend vinigirl,
I wished for something-
with great expectation and fulfillment.
I looked forward with a sure confidence-
that I would someday find it?
Little knowing then-
when the time came for me to try and possess it-
always- it seemed just out of reach of my grasp.
Tears and sadness fell upon me -like a lost child.
I felt alone and abandomed in a dark place.
Then -suddenly a hand touched mine,
drawing and pulling me near.
Smiling at me- like a new sun dawning;
I finally realized-
it had always been within my reach.
Lovingly- gazing back at me-
from in -the eyes of a fellow human being
I had found it___HOPE!
