No offence but in my opinion to use the Ignore Feature is weak.

Thank you for your input, however insulting people and calling them weak for using this feature was not necessary. I believe Unified Serenity was suggesting it mainly for people who are disruptive such as Trolls and the likes, not just people you don't agree with. But as you stated, you may do as you wish.
