From my understanding, the appearance of numbers signifies an expanded awareness of one's surroundings. I feel that the only meaning the numbers possess is that which we give them. In our fragmented waking consciousness, we truly see "through a glass darkly."

It seems that as we awaken from our slumber, we begin to see beyond the limitations of our five senses. I sometimes feel that my waking self is almost a different entity than my subconscious self. When I awaken at night to see numbers such as 1:44, 2:22, 3:33, etc., it is as if my subconscious self is saying to me, "I'm here!...This is happening!...Stop stumbling in ignorance and remember who you are!"
