My concern is that TPTB love to use fear to promote their own agenda, and this sort of fear could be used to do a lot of harm, such as uniting the world against the "alien invaders".
Even so, more seems to be dribbling out through "regular" news channels than in the recent past. e.g.

Personally, I'm telling more people about this sort of thing. I get some funny first reactions, but then people start to take me seriously and ask intelligent questions. Most common: why the secrecy?
