I live in South Carolina. The cost of living is very affordable here. Most families live a quality lifestyle on a single income.

I would advise anyone who is worried about becoming homeless because they can't afford to live in NYC or any other large metropolitan area to come on down.

I remember seeing a piece on CNN a few months ago. It was supposed to be heartwrenching but fell flat on me. It was about the poor homeless families who couldn't make ends meet on their meager incomes and were forced to live in their cars. In Santa Barbara, Calif. - One of the most expensive places in the country to live where the average home costs $1 Million.

Everyone has choices.

Those people could be living well here - but it's their choice not to.
