If you click "new posts" like I do, you won't see the button to start a new thread.
You have to click "home" or somehow get to the forum listing.
Also if you click "new posts" you get a list and on the right - is the forum toopic where the posts resides. I think you can get there that way.
The "new thread" or whatever it is called is on the top left.
I hope this helps - I might edit this later if I have time to explore and come up with the exact procedure - also there is an FAQ button at the top that is very helpful. I learned how to do all kinds of things I didn't even know I could do.
