I don't remember exactly where I heard it yesterday, but some talking head said there's some (UN?) agreement/mandate that negates any legitimate reason for US forces to be be 'engaged' in Iraq after Dec. 31 of this year.
(i know, we don't have any legitimate reason, period, don't shoot the messenger.i'm talking about gov't/politics agreements.)
