Of course it needs to be handled globally, its a global issue and they will handle it, but its going to be painful, for everybody and our living standards are going to come down.

Still, it isn't "the end" like some of you folks are predicting.

Anyways, to get back to the points, pretty much every bank in the world is no entwined with this **** and since most of the wealth that has been created in the last 15 years is due to cooking the books, untangling the mess (or preventing it from being untangled) needs to be come with all the players on hand. Its complicated but it can be done.
