There are also many designs on the 'net for simple bomb shelters you can make and put in your backyard if you can just dig the hole big enough for it. There are also really fancy ones that cost $30,000 or more (but who has that kind of money?).

The most important thing people need to realize is that a good 95% of people will survive a nuke attack, but that percentage drastically goes down for people who are not prepared with KI, a way out of the polluted zone, and food/water to live on once the infrastructure is down.
