I've had a lot of luck with the techniques of Dr. Barbara Ann Brennan. She speaks of clearing the chakras, and removing psychic hooks that dark entities as well as other people put into us.

I've also succeeded most efficiently when invoking the Lord Jesus Christ, to get rid of negative entities. I have combined this with burning sage, and it seemed to help.
