Re: Melbourne/Victoria
Gday All,
there are many many issues to consider, plan and practise prior to any change of location e.g the mountains, l totally agree the need to both ecape the city as well as the coastal regions, but and l cannot stress these issues enough, water, clean water is essential, as is having at least three months food supply minimum, as well as a large amount of seeds for any sustainable existence, unless you believe you can exist without any protien you will also require some livestock, for a family of four that would translate into a minimum of 40 to 50 sheep over a twelve month time frame, therefore that same family of four would require a stock of approximately 70 to 80 ewes as well as 2 or three rams and of course they to require feed and water, under special circumstances you could get two lambs a year from one ewe usually the famers only mate there ewes once a year so that they have time to recover, \
Even if you have one possible location that is not suffiecent to guarrentee your long term survival due to migrating groups of people whom similar to nomads would choose to steal and pillage from others rather than establish any self sufficency of there own, so ther is a real need to have those within your group that can offer some type of security etc
As for all those whom believe that they will simply barter with whatever excess they have lm sorry to say that there is no guarrentee that the people they are baterring with wont just overpower them and steal everthing anyway. hence the need for security of sorts.
there are a great amny other things l need to highlight to ensure your survival all equally as important as those lve already mentioned
