It would not be the first time the "elite" uses their "toys" to manipulate some popular players in the UFO community. Make up your mind about someone by what comes out of him "judge a tree by its fruits", "the devil is in the details".

What I find suspicious about Mike Quinsey's messages (I have read him since several years as I was part of the Galactic Federation of Light forum) is not what he says about Obama, but what he says about ETs in general. With a consistent tendency to present them as "good loving beings" from whom we have all to learn. When I began to question some ideas about the GFL, the answers I received were quite obvious to me that there was a big manipulation program behind it.

From my perspective, it seems the "elite" knows about the end of their system. So instead of sinking with the boat, they prefer to play the role of the protagonists of the New Paradigm. They have all the "tools" to make the masses to believe it so. And at some points, it seems to work pretty well, especially in the UFO researcher community.
