Thanks for sharing gscraig. All I can say is, keep up the attempts at communication. The ETs will respond to a heartfelt request to show themselves. Then you don't have to go chase them . Continue and you can start to get to know each other.

Jupiter rises about the same time every night, moving only a little from one night to the next. Currently, in the Eastern time zone it rises at 7:55 PM. More here: Heavens Above

The other very bright object people commonly see is Venus (currently the morning star, rises at 4:19 AM).

You seem to be doing a good job of sorting out what's what in the night sky, and much of what you describe does indeed sound "unusual".
