I suppose that depends on how you define success, wealth, and abundance. Each of these can be achieved either as service to self, or as service to others. Each can be achieved either by raping the earth, or by healing the earth. Each can be achieved by controlling others, or by empowering others. Either way, you learn. Do you want the negative lesson, or the positive lesson?
