This is an interesting point. If you look at New York City, it is considered the true center of power in America. Not Washington D.C and certainly not Denver, Colorado. It is New York City. If the oceans were to rise due to warming, New York City would go under. All this talk about NYC being America's version of Atlantis makes sense when you think about oceans rising.
