Noone ever said you MUST plant all the seeds the same season or year. You could always plant what you can and save the rest..or use them for bartering for something else. Or hide the canister for a future time when land might be available. Or EAT them!

I just thought that this was a good deal, especially since the seed will store for so many years. And I found the message on-tune with what we here at Avalon are discussing and doing. This guy is trying to "spread the word" and help people prepare, and he knows the risks he's running (he warns that the site might be shut down if you-know- who gets wind of it).
