That's a rhetorical question right? ;)

It's good to see people outside of the US seeing these reports, so you'll have compassion for how trapped we are. Insurance is a trillion dollar racket in this country. We are all being mugged at gunpoint. It's pretty sad that I have to choose not to visit doctors and emergency rooms whenever I am sick or injured, all because of this scam that is being forced on us. You should see the things many of us have to do in order to avoid a hospital visit: self-medication, set minor bone-breaks with homemade splints, use superglue to suture cuts... it's very sad to have to do this in an "advanced" nation in the 21st century. :(

Church: as your next door neighbor, we are very aware of your health care costs. I feel compassion for all of what Americans are going through right now. Your government is holding you all as hostages. My heart breaks for all of you.

Of course we in Canada are not without our own problems....imo our own health care is just about gone. The waiting lists are enormous for any kind of tests or surgeries.

It is obvious that they are further gouging the public with the inflated charges. They get away with it, because the insurance company pays up & turns a blind eye.
