Society is turning upside down, whats wrong with people! That poor woman, I can't believe the authority's are so short sighted on this problem. Now watch the kid blow up to a balloon and then they'll accuse her of neglect for letting him get fat!

The United Kingdom is totally out of control. They are under constant Big Brother eyes. The UK gov't has complete control over their lives over there.

The U.S. isn't much better, my niece by friendship was taken for a years over a wort, even after they had been given a note form the kids doctor stating that it was a waist of his time to have her come in and have her see him, he also put in the note that her mother needed nothing more then the "Compound W" that she was already using. And that it was up to the child to keep the meds on her, she was 10 yrs old and not a baby, But C.PS. did not want to hear what the doctor had said, but they took the copy of the note tho' that had stating everything that had been done and should be done.

That's why I'll never have kids. They are state property. Parents are reduced to foster care workers enforcing state rules, and their only pay is the right to stay with their kids. Think of African slavery in Colonial America. How do you think these people felt when they had kids? I bet being a working or middle class parent today feels pretty close to being a slave parent in Colonial America.

i remember when i was a young mother breastfeeding...there was a story about judges, forcing mothers to ween their children based on stupidities...

What's next? Government taking kids away for being fat? Is that now neglect?

Though on the other side of the coin, I think that mothers who smoke should know better. It makes me sick and I've acquired asthma from years of growing up in a household where my mother smoked.
