Vaccination program cancelled in Australia
According to the top featured article and headline on page one of The Sydney Morning Herald on Friday (August 28th), the Australian government has announced that it is "scrapping" its swine flu vaccination program. The article quotes the government as saying that this is because of fears that the cost of paying damages to individuals as a result of anticipated litigation would be too high for the government to cope with.
I assume this just means that they've scrapped any plans to make the vaccination compulsory in Australia. |

Re: Vaccination program cancelled in Australia
I know that Australia and the US are the two most litigious countries, so why can't the threat of litigation also work in the US?

I found it....
http://www.smh.com.au/national/swine...0827-f17x.html HE Federal Government's plan to immunise the population against swine flu is in chaos because insurers may not cover doctors who administer the jab. Inadequate testing and the possibility of spreading other infections means there is too high a risk patients will sue, the insurers say. |
Re: Vaccination program cancelled in Australia
This is an interesting statement from the insurance companies view
But the insurers believe the distribution of the vaccine in multiple-dose vials exposes people to unnecessary risk of blood-borne infection from other recipients. As well, they believe the possibility of rare side-effects has been inadequately explored. Inadequately explored..... No kidding! |
Re: Vaccination program cancelled in Australia
Congratulations Australia!:trumpet:
...and in the monarchy of Sweden, they are pushing it further. The papers are really pushing for everyone to get the jab. It has not been mentioned anywhere that it will be mandatory, wich here would be an outrageous thing to do, but as much as 72% has said they will take it as showed in polls. Any poll can be manipulated though so I hope its less percentage. |

Words are part of the craft to weave spells, cleverly (con)structed over the years, words as swords to impose their sentence, period.
Punctuation to puncture the structure, to cause pause comma=coma The dictionary to dictate the nation with indoctrination. Vaccination=Vacate a nation |

Re: Vaccination program cancelled in Australia
Yes, it's not officially "scrapped" - just fighting over indemnity for docs and insurance companies. They'd like to get the sweetheart deal here that big PHARMA has, where you can't sue for problems caused by the vaccines.
This still may happen in Australia. Or it may not. Regrdless they're about the end of their regular flu season. Spring is soon upon them. |

I just hate it when someone embellishes a story here... giving a title of "cancelled", and saying the program was "scrapped", when that is no where near the truth. |

I doubt it. Too much light shining on this one now - people will realise what a farce it is. My hope is that the rest of the world takes note of what the insurers have said. A.. |
