HaHa they should've had a big BBQ, because you don't get the flu from eating pork!

The tools of the fear mongerer
1) a threat, 2) a specific recommendation about how the listener should behave, 3):lol3: listener's perception that the recommendation will be effective in addressing the threat, and 4) audience perception that they are capable of performing the recommended behavior. When fear propaganda do not include all four elements, they are likely to fail. Next is the slogan or Mantra. :eyes::harp: Keep Hope alive:lmao: |

Re: The Egyptian authorities ordered to kill
maybe its an offering to the pig gods.
http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/pigs.htm 2009 the year of the pig http://www.freeehoroscope.com/chines...horoscope.html http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...aha-avatar.jpg There is some divided speculation about the existence and usage of pigs in ancient Egypt. Was the Set-animal a pig, and therefore was the creature considered taboo since Set was thought to be an "evil" god? Was the pig connected with trichinosis and therefore thought unfit to eat? Was it simply considered unclean because of its particular habits? Did it exist at all in Egypt? It is very unlikely that the ancients knew of any connection between trichinosis and eating undercooked pork. There is no evidence they had any taboo against more toxic materials or that they even knew of the existence of such dangers. Pigs were herded, raised, and occasionally eaten, throughout Egypt from the Predynastic period into the Late Period and Graeco-Roman times. |

I don't even like eating pork, except for bacon. I can't say that I'd miss doing so though I'm fully aware that the flu doesn't come from actual pigs. |
Re: The Egyptian authorities ordered to kill
I'm volunteering myself to eat the pigs :original:
It's the year of the Ox not the pig. They taste good on the BBQ as well :thumb_yello: |
