I read also re nukes -

WASHINGTON, DC — The Federation of American Scientists released new online materials on gas centrifuges – how they are built, how they work individually and in cascades, and how this technology increases the risk of nuclear weapons proliferation.

The public will better understand the danger posed by countries with centrifuges, like Iran. Just today Iran announced it is now running 7,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges. Gholamreza Aghazadeh, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, also said it had obtained the technology to produce more "accurate" centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium. The nature of the technology of enriching uranium and its spread creates the risk for nuclear proliferation.

--------------

This obsession with Iran is irrational, as was the brouhaha about Iraq in 2003. I remember that the UN weapons inspector (Iraq) David Kelly later died suspiciously - and these other fellows too (one death, one injury: March 13, 2003) in a truck accident, not to mention the errant U.S. nuke parts of last year. Israel should focus its efforts and resources on peace talks with its neighbors (e.g. Palestine), but here's another article about its 'readiness' for Iraq:

Scenario for 2009 Israeli Strike on Iran by Gordon Prather, April 18, 2009

It's always a big, (kind of sickening) double standard ...

Phil Berrigan - Blessed are the peacemakers, Jesus told the crowd in the Sermon on the Mount, and Lo, Ronald Reagan named the MX nuclear missile the Peacemaker.
