Your link doesn't work, but it wasn't even close to the biggest march ever, it was 60-70,000 tops. There were anti-war protests a couple of years ago in the millions that got zero press coverage.

well I suggest you recheck those figures. I will add some links. People will for sure drop them but down to satisfy their own agenda

One MSM site said there were "a few thousand" participants.

Over 2 million is "a few thousand", right? http://fredsitelive.com/fun/rofl.gif

Yes that man explained how he did the count and just what he showed I was amazed.

A very peaceful protest all the same.

I am not backing conservatives, actually no polical affliation ever again. I'm for peace and against the healthcare bill and I along with many others the truth regarding 9/11

Oh like this "good" behavior?

"This brave man walked through the anti-health care crowd with his large poster and was immediately set upon by the crowd. One person spit on him, while others pushed and tried to grab his flag until the police intervened. Most of the crowd around him turned on him like rabid dogs, yelling epithets and things like commie, why dont you leave this country etc. Impressively, he remained unflappable and had this little smile on the whole time."

Oh that is so sad. I didnt see that and you know I am not completely naive as all that

Glenn Beck planned this to and it was suppose to be all conservatives and I know their main idea was to put Obama down.

I don't think that was the reason all were there. You see elderly people there that have never marched before and it was over the healthcare. I see every reason for them to be there.

I guess I missed this.............and of course I'm not surprised

BTW..................that was a good sign I heard someone ask him how he was paid to come there. No Public Option was nice to hear in the chants It was no secret via the news all week that many of these people were going there because they were against the healthcare plan. so I imagine that lone man was brave indeed.

Boy that is really sad if he was telling the truth. The man said he heard her tell a cop that she was with acorn.

I dont like seeing anything get out of hand but I will say this. People have had enough of the **** coming out of the white house and alot of them took time off to be there Saturday.

Well the thing that bristles me about the "god and guns" crowd (and i know i am stereotyping and individually amongst them i'm sure are many disagreements) is the "i'm right because my pastor/rush 'limbo'/bible/god tells me so" thing. Facts may be correct or incorrect but opinions are only just opinions.

Oh i would never lump anyone on this forum as being part of a "crowd". We may 'spar' occasionally but it's always with the utmost respect and willingness to hear other angles. As far as i have seen, this forum is nothing but free thinkers looking to expand their minds, which is why i joined. :original:

Tea Party and the New York Times

Posted by PeterGemma on 09/14/2009

Quote:

Got my New York Times this morning: the page one pix has a caption that declares "conservatives gather to vent frustrations" - sounds like we're Luddites, protesting the advance of civilzation - the report is actually carried on PAGE THIRTY SEVEN way behind stories about Ramadan practices in Brooklyn, prison reform legislation in California, and across from a story headlined "Thousand Rally In MN for Obama Healthcare Overhaul." The NYT reports that "well into the tens of thousands" attended the Tea Party (London Times and ABC have used estimates like nearly a million and over a million). There was a "roaring crowd" of 15,000 in MN for the Prez, while our people were "demeaning to the President" shouting "Liar! Liar!" and carrying such signs as "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy".

Are there any media reports that you think were fair?

:mfr_lol: That Rense photo collage is comparing apples to oranges, one being the aftermath of a sober demonstration lasting an afternoon in the summer with people bringing their own signs and then taking them back home. The other the aftermath of an all night party in the winter where i'm sure paperboys were yelling "get your Obama wins newspaper here" and any party host knows there will be clean-up after any "good" party!

This is a distraction, people, so that you don't notice that someone is trying to slaughter you with the flu. What these demonstrations should be about is vaccinations.
