New Moon images show Apollo landing sites
I found an interesting site that is relatively new.
http://lroc.sese.asu.edu/ Is the site for the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera. Quote:
Apollo 11 Landing Site http://2012info.ca/images/apollo-11-site.jpg from http://wms.lroc.asu.edu/lroc_browse/view/nacr00000ada (cropped and lightened) Apollo 17 Landing Site http://2012info.ca/images/apollo-17-site.jpg from http://wms.lroc.asu.edu/lroc_browse/view/nacr00000d11 (cropped and lightened) I hope a fellow Avalonian can pick this up and run with it. I managed to put these togather in an hour at work but I need to get back to the actual job im paid for :naughty: I will be looking at dark side images later tonite or tomorrow and will post anything of interest. The first picture, with the elongated shadow I've seen before.
I think it was on The Best Real UFOs website and they were saying that based upon the length of the shadow, the "tower" would be approximately 2 miles high! Thanks for the lunar website |
