US investment bank Goldman Sachs reports net earnings of $3.44bn for the second quarter of 2009 - well above forecasts.

That doesn't really astound me as it's biggest source of income was the US government. Wait for the next quarter, and don't be suprised if it's found that they are short selling and manipulating the DOW to make quick cash.
