Global Consciousness Project Dot is red!
 

From time to time i look in on the dot and it's usually green or yellow, Last time it was red was on Oct 14 as people everywhere looked to the skies for something. What is going on today that has so many focused on the same idea?

No I don't take the dot too seriously however I have noticed it reflects major events when they are known globally.

Thanks for that. I check it daily. I have also realized that unlike other "predictive linguistic" systems, GCP seems to work best in the very short term, i.e. within a short time of an event which "excites" human concerns.

Has anyone got thoughts on how GCP can be interpreted or used to provide an alert to events?

Could it be the outpouring of empathy with the Mumbai victims and what happened in India?
I was reading allot of material last night and allot of people are expressing themselves and this event has shocked and saddenned allot of us on a global scale...
