well sarah Palin obviously does not like animals.

In her office she sits on the skin of a grizzly bear she murdered and on her coffee table sits a crab which is massive and probably was very old before she killed it and had it mounted.

She is not heart centric towards living beings, maybe her children eho knows ?

But is she so different from all the men in power - probably not.

I sort of warm to her in a way - but i think her treatment of animals is appalling and i wonder how she views the vulnerable ?

can you be more specific please ?

we need leaders that are compassionate and yes it has alot to do with economics, children who starve , countries who have very little have alotto do with what we call economics..

America has in the recent past looked after her own interests and this has inadvertantly led to the suffering of many countries, and it is nt just america here but the western world in general but america is probably the worst offender.

So yes there is a higher expression of ' economics' and it is inclusive and compassionate and considerate to the vulnerable ..

additionally the current model of market economies that is favoured by capitalist countries favours the few, it favours the strong, it favours the top 2 % keeping hold of 99 % of the worlds material wealth ? [ numbers might not be exact but you get the picture ]

so compassion has EVERYTHING to do with economics and economic policy !!

AFRICA .. that is a continent that is a fine example of suffering as a result of econmic policies mixed with political agenda that lack heart .. and have led to immense suffering for many ..

The middle East

India

USA V mEXICO AND SOUTH AND CENTRAL AMERICA

The poor areas of America etc etc

SO DONT TELL me where a leaders heart is has nothing to do with economics !

The Alaskan wolf population is out of control and needs reduction. If the population continues to increase it threatens other wildlife and systems.

This is not shocking or abhorrent - it is pragmatic.

Actually this world belongs to all of us - non humans included.

Palin comes fro a shooting, hunting what I would describe as blood thirsty back ground - taking pleasure from killing is not not something a person with compassion and love would aspire too

the biggest threat to wildlife on the planet is man - i am pretty sure that is the same in alsaka .. what pragmatic solutions do you suggest ?

I don't know, I just have the feeling that Palin is a setup for a October surprise, where one or more of the scandals haunting her selection as McCain's Vice Presidential nominee will reveal something sinister thereby ending her bid.

This thread is just one example of how people play in to the political games.

I'm not trying to argue whether killing wolves is a good or a bad thing, but what I will argue is that you all are being distracted from the REAL issues the world is facing.

This subject matter is nothing more than slight of hand magic. Show the American people pictures of the poor cute wolves and they ooh and ahh. All the while they are emptying your pockets, preparing for WW3, allowing millions of human beings to starve.

You/we have to pick our battles and I find it hard to believe that the livelyhood of the wolf is at the top of the "To do" list for any of us. Personaly if the wolf is at the top of the list, I say let it all burn.

Personaly I'm not here to warm hearts or make friends, I'm here for the truth.

The truth is, the wolf has nothing to do with the extreme problems our world is facing. So go for it, stand on your stump and preach about the wolf. In the end when the nukes are going off and theres nothing left, won't you wonder if your efforst were in vein?

The truth is that that love and compassion has everything to so with the way our world has and is manifesting and more specifically the lack of love and compassion is why we have manifested what we are currently living...

It's obvious some of you are missing my point, especialy the ones private messaging me rather than maning up and putting it here for all to see.

Like my original post says, I'm not here to argue the livelyhood of the wolf. I'm just trying to make the point that you have to focus on the most dire problems first then work down the ladder.

The fact is, we can sit here and argue about the wolf and the "heartless" killing of these animals. I'm only suggesting that the discussion be focused on problems of a grander scale and the heartless sole that considers the use of nuclear weapons, the pilfering of it's people, allowing millions to starve to death.

After these problems are solved, then lets move on to lesser evils.
